State Exactly What Is Missing
Explain whether every key is lost, a key exists but does not turn, the battery is dead or the doors are locked. Do not promise that the car rolls if that has not been confirmed.
Check Wheel and Steering Position
Tell the buyer if wheels are turned toward a curb, steering is locked, tires are flat or brakes are seized. Photos of every wheel and the space around the car help with planning.
Create a Clear Loading Path
Move other vehicles and obstacles when possible. Share driveway width, surface and whether the car is behind a gate, fence or carport.
Keep Proof of Ownership Ready
Missing keys do not replace ownership requirements. Confirm which title, registration and identification documents must be reviewed.
Explain How the Vehicle Is Positioned
Missing keys can affect steering, shifting and loading. Tell the buyer whether the steering wheel is locked, the transmission can move into neutral, the parking brake releases and the tires hold air. Share photos showing the vehicle, wheels and space around it. Do not force the ignition or attempt unsafe movement simply to prepare for pickup.
Ownership Still Needs to Be Confirmed
Keys and ownership documents are separate issues. Prepare the available title, registration and identification, and ask what documentation is required before scheduling. Remove personal belongings and keep access clear for the driver. See our Miami Gardens junk car buyer page or call 305-457-0817 to describe the missing-key situation.
