Describe More Than the Visible Damage

Collision photos are important, but the driver also needs to know whether the car starts, rolls, steers and shifts into neutral. Identify flat tires, locked wheels, suspension damage, leaking fluids, broken glass, missing keys and loose body parts. Include the year, make, model, approximate mileage and title status.

Disclose missing catalytic converters, batteries, wheels or other major components because vehicle completeness can affect the evaluation.

Photograph the Pickup Route

Take one photo from the vehicle toward the street and another from the street toward the vehicle. Show driveway width, gates, fences, overhead trees, parked cars and space for a flatbed. Near Southwest 8th Street, Coral Way or the Palmetto Expressway, explain traffic or business-hour restrictions.

For a repair-shop pickup, identify the person authorized to release the vehicle and the hours when the lot is accessible. For an apartment or commercial property, confirm permission before the truck arrives.

Get the Paperwork Ready

Prepare the available title or registration and identification required for the transaction. The seller must have legal authority to transfer the car. If documents are missing or names do not match, discuss the issue before scheduling.

Before the Truck Arrives

Remove personal belongings and toll devices. Keep keys and documents together, confirm the accepted offer and make sure the loading path remains clear. Do not drive or push an unsafe vehicle.
